Four Newly Ordained OAR Priests Celebrate the Holy Eucharist
January 25, 2023 – Four newly ordained priests celebrated the Holy Eucharist on the feast of Saint Paul’s Conversion. Rev. Fr. Ricky John A. Austria, OAR was the main celebrant. As a deacon he served the parish for eight months from December 2021 until July 2022 and upon his visit for his thanksgiving mass in the community of Recoletos de Valencia as a newly ordained priest, he is joined by Rev. Fr. Julius James T. Tinapao, OAR, Rev. Fr. Cristito Rey P. Tepace, OAR and Rev. Fr. James Erold P. Gatinao, OAR.
In his homily, Fr. Julius pointed out an inspiring reflection from the feast of Saint Paul’s Conversion. He said that “…the need to undergo a genuine process of conversion from our self-centeredness towards a Christ-centered way of living enables us to proclaim the Gospel message while, at the same time, endows us the experience of true joy.”
Before the final blessing, Fr. Ricky delivered a short message to express his gratitude to the Recollect community, the parish and the school as part of his journey prior to priesthood. Soon after that, Rev. Fr. Ramon B. Bitancor III, OAR took the opportunity to say thank you for the inspiring presence of the four newly ordained priests and encouraged all CSP-R students to draw an inspiration from them who allowed themselves to be transformed by God’s love like the Saint Paul and to proclaim the gospel to the whole world.
