Students Bond Together during the Pakighimamat 2022

The entire Petrinian population experienced a day of fun as the acquaintance party, dubbed as “Pakighimamat,” happened on August 26, 2022. Despite coming from two consecutive school years of online and modular learning, the Petrinians were so pumped up to be part of the party that took place at Colegio de San Pedro–Recoletos gymnasium. Pakighimamat 2022 was organized to bond with the continuing students and welcome the freshmen to the CSP–R family.

By tradition, all students are given the chance to strengthen bonds and make new friends through the annual acquaintance party. This year was extra special for everyone who was used to seeing to the four corners of their homes for quite a long time since the pandemic. Pakighimamat 2022 was celebrated with the theme “Petrinians Journeying Together Towards the Future” with the aim to regain the confidence and enthusiasm of students in the school setting.

Highlighted in the event was the grand entrance of the freshmen and transferees accompanied by the school band. On top of the welcoming party, games and fun-filled activities lifted the atmosphere, which included a singing competition, ball games, and minute challenges. A bonus to the joy felt during the program was the distribution of free notebooks and school supplies to the first 100 enrolees headed by Mrs. Merlene Cabatingan, PTA President.

The success of the event was seen in the smiles, laughter, and cheering of each one before, during, and after the program.
