Petrinians’ EnSciMath 2024: Creative Innovation for a Sustainable Future
September 30, 2024 — Colegio de San Pedro-Recoletos wrapped up its highly anticipated EnSciMath celebration with the theme, “Creative Innovation for a Sustainable Future.” This year’s event, a collaborative effort between the English, Science, and Math clubs, brought together Petrinians from all grade levels in a series of exciting and educational activities aimed at promoting innovation, sustainability, and teamwork. Students engaged in a variety of activities, including Bulletin Board Making, Poster Making Contest, Battle of the Brains, Math Art Contest, Newton Olympic, Science Fair, and a Clean-Up Drive initiative, all designed to inspire creativity and foster environmental consciousness. The Science Fair was a standout event, where students from Grades 7-12 presented their innovative prototypes and participated in a questioning session. The prototypes were assessed based on their sustainability and usability, encouraging students to think critically about real-world applications for their creations. The Newton Olympic, another highlight of the celebration, allowed students to explore the fascinating world of Science through a series of fun and challenging events. Competitions such as Roll the Ball, Blow the Ball, Tower of Hanoi, Rubik’s Cube, Crossword Puzzle, and Nips Transfer added an element of playful learning, demonstrating that Science can be both informative and entertaining.
